The Psychology of Motherhood: Research on Matrescence, Community, and Childbirth Attitudes
Dr. Weaver’s talk will explore the emerging field of maternal psychology, focusing on motherhood as a distinct developmental stage known as matrescence. Within this framework, she will discuss two preliminary research studies: one on fostering community among academic mothers and another on changing attitudes toward childbirth through educational practices.
