One of the most frequent questions we get in Psyc Advising is: What classes should I take? We designed the Psychology degree to be flexible, with plenty of elective credits. Many students choose to add another major, a minor, or a certificate to satisfy those elective course requirements. In our increasingly global world, up to 90% of employers give hiring preference to applicants who are bilingual or have at least some ability to speak another language. In addition, 77% of employers value experience working with people from different backgrounds. Learning a language is a great way to get that experience.
If you are looking to fill some of your elective requirements this Summer, consider taking a language. A complete listing of Summer offerings in the Department of World Languages can be found ad SU25 Master Schedule here. Class options are highlighted in yellow and labs in grey. To learn more about earning a certificate or a minor in World Languages, go to Certificates/Minors/Majors here.
