William R. King, a professor and chair of the Department of Criminal Justice, was recently reappointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Forensic Sciences for another five year term. The publication is the official journal for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, a large, international society of forensic scientists and practitioners. King’s research explores the nexus between information produced by forensic processing systems, such as ballistics imaging, and how criminal investigators use and interact with that information.
King’s reappointment letter stated in part “Service on the JFS Editorial Board is a particularly challenging but worthy task. JFS is recognized as one of the leading journals in the forensic sciences field, both nationally and internationally…By this action, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences recognizes your outstanding professional reputation, your accomplishments in the field, and your past service to the JFS. In addition, you have the gratitude of the AAFS Board of directors, the JFS Editor-in-Chief, and the JFS readership.”
