Boise State’s Office of Sustainability is celebrating Earth Month with a number of events this April. Complete details can be found on the office’s webpage.
Earth Month events
- Sustainability Tour, 1:30 p.m. April 15, Meet in front of the Cycle Learning Center: Check out solar panels, ecoturf and geothermal Join us for a walking tour showcasing Boise State campus’s sustainable features.
- E-bike Demo, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 17, 11:00am – 3:00p.m. Cycle Learning Center: Come learn about e-bikes and enter to win a free bike.
- Trivia Night, 5:30 p.m. April 17, Bishop Barnwell Room in the SUB: Test your Boise State and sustainability knowledge. Bring friends to make a team of up to five people. Free pizza and drinks provided.
- Plogging, noon-1 p.m. April 21, Meet at Friendship Bridge: What is plogging? It’s talking a walk and picking up trash. We will walk along the Greenbelt and pick up trash as we go. All supplies provided.
- Smoothie Bike Demo, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 22, Buster’s Kitchen – Meal swipe required: Have lunch in Buster’s Kitchen and ride your way to a fresh smoothie. Requires lunch purchase.
- Tree Planting Ceremony, 2 p.m. April 22, Meet between Keiser Hall and the tennis courts: Boise State is a certified Tree Campus for Higher Education. Come help us celebrate this designation by planting trees.

- Clothes Mending, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 23, MakerLab in Alberston Library: Do you have clothes that need mending? Missing buttons, small holes? Come fix them in the MakerLab.
