Through this program, a Boise State students can obtain both a BS and MS degree in just 5 years.
- Count up to 9 credits towards both your BS and MS
- Apply for teaching and research assistantships for the 5th year
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Accelerated Master’s program:
- Major in a mathematics-intensive field at Boise State (mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, geosciences, etc.)
- Complete at least 75 undergraduate credits with at least a 3.0 GPA overall and 3.3 GPA in math courses
- Take MATH 314 before your senior year
Procedures
- Interested? Please email the graduate coordinator, or contact the Department of Mathematics.
- The application process follows the MS in Math program. Accelerated students can apply after the deadline for priority admissions, since TA eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree.
- If accepted, complete the Permit for Seniors to take Graduate Courses for any graduate courses taken as an undergraduate. Be sure to choose Option III on and indicate Math MS as the program.
