*Students must have an eligible major for the Ridgeline or Summit scholarships, if one of the following majors is declared you will not be eligible for the Ridgeline or Summit: Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiological Science, Pre-Radiological Science, Alternative Fee Programs, and fully online programs. These programs are subject to change.**Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 credits each semester (fall & spring) and successfully complete at least 24 credits combined (fall & spring). One-semester recipient (fall or spring only) must successfully complete at least 12 credits.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Only incoming students are considered for the Ridgeline or Summit scholarship. Consideration is based on admissions materials received by the scholarship deadline. - An international student is defined as a non-United States citizen requiring a visa to remain in the United States legally while studying at Boise State University. Refugees, permanent residents, and asylum seekers are not considered international students.
Additional Information
- Priority consideration is given to students seeking their first bachelor’s degree.
- Homeschool students will be considered based on their highest ACT and SAT scores.
- Scholarship recipients are still responsible for resident fees and the uncovered portion of the nonresident fees. Online courses that charge a per-credit fee instead of standard tuition do not count toward the required 12 credits per semester.
- Courses repeated within the same academic year may be eligible for federal financial aid, but they do not count toward the 24 credits required for scholarship renewal. Learn more about repeated credits on the Repeated Credits webpage.
- Scholarships may come from donor-based sources, departmental awards, and/or institutional funding sources.

These programs are subject to change.**Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 credits each semester (fall & spring) and successfully complete at least 24 credits combined (fall & spring). One-semester recipient (fall or spring only) must successfully complete at least 12 credits.
