The Boise State Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) is excited to announce that Associate Director Karina Smith has been appointed to the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Accreditation Commission. She joins as a postsecondary institutional representative and begins her 3-year term on May 1, 2025.
NACEP is the national leader in advancing concurrent and dual enrollment programs. They support the relationship of high school and college institutions through quality courses, accreditation standards and effective policies. Boise State’s Concurrent Enrollment is a NACEP-accredited program.
Smith shared the following, “I joined the NACEP Accreditation Commission to support the important aspect of ensuring that dual and concurrent enrollment programs nationwide are quality programs. Accreditation for dual and concurrent enrollment programs ensures that students are receiving college-level credits and the support they require to be successful in those courses. By serving on the commission I am able to provide guidance to other colleges and universities as they go through the accreditation process and ensure that concurrent enrollment programs are of high quality.”
